15 Years of TMF

Take a quick look back with us! Watch the video to see 15 years of The Moskowitz Firm in photos—and follow the link to explore the story behind each one.

2010
It was 2010 when I decided to quit my job and start The Moskowitz Firm. I was inspired by my clients to do something more entrepreneurial—but also by these two (who were 1 and 3 at the time).

2011
I hit the ground running. My first website came a bit later; I spent so much time working with my designer on a clever landing page where the “F” floated up after the “TM” to highlight the “trademark firm” pun. I soon realized it didn’t matter—and that JavaScript stinks.

2012
Here I am at an International Trademark Association meeting. It was a strange transition from attending as part of a large firm to going solo. But I connected with fantastic colleagues and built a strong international network of small-firm attorneys.

2013
The title slide from one of my early talks at the Cleveland Institute of Art. I’m no graphic designer, but I still get invited back every semester to share IP basics!

2014
A classic shot from Expo West, the huge natural products show in Anaheim. Endless thanks to my colleague Lara, who showed me fun ways to connect with clients and friends in the CPG space.

2015
Our five-year milestone! We celebrated at a client’s ice cream shop. I’ll always appreciate the support of Client #1, Mark.

2016
I’m not sure how I managed before Jen joined as paralegal. She makes all the behind-the-scenes miracles happen.

2017
A very pre-COVID time, where clients joined us for a “Balance and Barrels” yoga and whiskey tasting party.

2018
Why no trademark before 2018? Because brands with last names are considered weak until you’re doing business nationally for at least five years. I wanted our first registration to be strong!

2019
An early glimpse of Josh—the skilled business attorney and litigator—running his own firm just a few feet away from mine. It took a few years to officially snag him as TMF’s indispensable partner.

2020
This was supposed to be the big 10-year celebration! Instead, we switched to Zoom and gifted water bottles and candy.

2021
Time for a logo refresh.

2022
Our second registration—for our flat-fee services that include monitoring so you can keep what’s yours. People don’t believe we own the word KEEP on its own—but we do (at least in this legal space).

2023
After so many virtual meetings, back in person at Cleveland Central Kitchen.

2024
Remember those little guys from 2010? Same ones here. They still drive me crazy sometimes, but I don’t regret quitting biglaw and getting more time with them.

2025
It’s 2025, and I’m so happy to share this milestone with you!
